Schwarz+Matt® Wins at the German Brand Award

The award-winning project demonstrates how an established brand identity can be translated into a modern visual language without losing its brand essence: Over the years, the gap between audalis’s aspirations and its visual reality had widened increasingly due to the growth of interlocking structures. The firm’s extensive portfolio of services was barely visible in its old brand identity.

The focus of the rebranding was therefore on revising and strategically refining existing, proven brand elements. Through a distinctive logo, a modernized color palette, and a new tagline—among other elements—the company now communicates both its newfound strength and its 100-year tradition in equal measure, thereby clearly setting itself apart from the competition.

This outstanding design project received an award in the “Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation: Brand Design” category, specifically in the “Corporate Brand” subcategory. The industry award has been presented by the German Design Council and GMK Markenberatung since 2016. The interdisciplinary and independent jury evaluates submissions based on criteria such as brand distinctiveness, target audience, and degree of innovation.
