In a nutshell
Schwarz+Matt prepared and implemented the holistic digitization in an advisory capacity. The services are funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) in the “go-digital” program.
Everyone knows the Trapp logo. For almost 150 years, it has been synonymous with the Group’s demanding construction projects in the international building and civil engineering sector. Now two successful Trapp companies are opening new chapters in the Group’s history with refreshed traditional logos and innovative design.
To make the world-renowned Trapp brand fit for digital marketing, it is being transformed into a contemporary, modern design. Specifically, Schwarz+Matt began with the corporate design relaunch and website developments for Trapp Real Estate GmbH and Trapp Construction International.
In the logo adaptation, current fields of activity are accentuated, historical ones are withdrawn. A vital red tone looks more dynamic. It harmonizes perfectly with classic elegant black and contrasting gray. From this, Schwarz+Matt develops applications for analog (letterhead, business cards, signage) and digital (website, presentations, app icon) use.
The website guides the user step by step through the international world of the construction company. It positions the company as an investment and service developer for sustainable construction projects. It is characterized by the supporting personalities of the company, Dipl.-Ing. Fritz-Martin Waldendorf and Dipl.-Kfm. Max Trapp. The central point of the website are impressive reference projects. The user selects them according to application fields in a quick overview or finds exciting details.
The screen design creates interesting foreground/background relationships. For consistent imagery, especially project photography, Schwarz+Matt designs brightening filters with high white content. This gives the shots a fresh modern look. Excitement in the photos is achieved by unusual perspectives, drone/detail shots and elaborate building renderings.
Based on these ideas and the new design, the English-language website of the sister company Trapp Construction International is then created, with a stronger focus on the company’s history.
Thus positioned, two digitally equipped flagships emerge from a globally active, traditional construction group that can successfully conquer new markets.
