Janno will join our design unit as a motion designer and expand our motion group together with Jannick. His focus is on 2D and 3D animations, from social media assets to reels and website elements to explanatory formats. His technical hobbyhorse is After Effects, where he appreciates the almost unlimited possibilities that arise when you combine techniques and effects and create something new.
Janno is a trained media designer and studied design at Münster University of Applied Sciences with a focus on media design. For his bachelor’s thesis, he developed a short animated film about modern media consumption and dealing with digital distraction.
Before joining Schwarz+Matt, he worked for a design agency in Münster that is strongly anchored in branding. There he supported brands with relaunches, developed motion elements for corporate designs and created visuals for launch events. His projects also included animations for large trade fair screens.
What Janno particularly likes about agencies is the fast pace and creative demands. He appreciates the pace and the variety. He loves immersing himself in large projects and familiarizing himself with content. At the same time, he is always getting to know new clients, challenges and creative tasks.
He is passionate about cycling and goes swimming regularly. Design also accompanies him in his private life: he can spend hours watching animations by other motion artists and is also interested in illustration, interiors and architecture.
