Together with gourmet chef Emanuel Mc Cance, we have consistently reinterpreted and realized the chip shop. Because everyone deserves good fries.
Since 2018, numerous fry boats with the most unusual creations have been crossing the counter in the fry kitchen every day. Whether it’s house fries with cherry tomato sauce, mozzarella curds, toasted pine nuts and basil mayo, or fries with gently braised beef, pickled mustard seeds, truffle snickerdoodle and garden cress – all of it tastes as knackered as it sounds.
Founder Emmanuel worked in different kitchens for years, but in the end, it was the down-to-earth nature of the fries that made him decide to take the leap into self-employment. But before opening his little shop, he visited the home country of frits once again to fine-tune the secret recipe. Back from Belgium, he was fully motivated and eager to fry. Not tried yet? Then on there, it’s worth it!
When we met Emmanuel Mc Cance, we were amazed: A gourmet chef comes up with the idea of a new kind of frites stand, which is supposed to provide more culinary delights than the classic “Pommes Schranke”. Homemade sauces, potato fries with skins and toppings usually only found in high-priced restaurants are the basis of the business idea. So the USP is quickly clear: a high-quality chip shop that is simply more, even though it’s all about chips.
Together we created the Frittenbude 2.0 and gave it the only possible name: Frit Kitchen. Rounded off by the corporate design we developed, the store design and various POS media, we worked with Emmanuel Mc Cance to reinvent the frit.
Golden and delicious, dishes like “house fries with cured slices of beef brisket, marinated white cabbage, smoky BBQ sauce and fine remoulade” now await hungry stomachs at City Crown East.
Monday to Saturday you will find the Frittenküche there at the EDEKA parking lot Lissaboner Allee 7, 44269 Dortmund. Even professional soccer players from a first division team in Dortmund regularly supplement their diet with the delicacies á la Mc Cance.
