What is a brand voice?

A brand voice represents the brand personality on a linguistic level and thus, in addition to the design on a visual level, contributes significantly to the perception of brands.

A brand voice represents a brand’s very own identity and ensures that people can identify with it and its values. Once established, brand voice makes marketing more cost-effective: When brands already have a strong identity, less explanation is needed.

In order to be able to capture your brand tonality in a tone-of-voice, you first have to ask yourself what, to whom, how, why you want to tell or convey. Once we know the target group and agree on how the individual brand personality should appear, the next step is to evaluate which words and adjectives accurately express that. We also determine which channels we play on and which tonality makes sense in each case. Because: Brands strike a different tone on LinkedIn than on TikTok, for example.
