REDPATH DEILMANN is one of the world’s leading specialist companies in mining and shaft construction. As part of the internationally active Redpath Group, the company plans, builds and modernizes shafts and mines and supports projects from planning to implementation in Germany, Europe and worldwide.

With over 130 years of experience, REDPATH DEILMANN realizes complex projects under challenging geological conditions and develops solutions for the construction, conversion and rehabilitation of shafts.

International projects and a long tradition of technical innovation characterize the work of the Dortmund-based company, which was also to be illustrated in the digital space.

New digital presence for a traditional company

A key reason for the web relaunch was the topic of employer brand. REDPATH DEILMANN was looking for a better positioning as an employer in order to better target qualified specialists.

With this in mind, the project initially began with the redesign of the careers page. The relaunch of the careers page then created a new visual and content standard. As a result, the general website was also redesigned in the next step.

The aim was to merge the design and structure of the careers section and website to create a consistent digital presence.

Digital structure for
complex mining projects

In the course of the website relaunch, the main focus was on structuring the content. The aim was to create a digital presence that clearly communicates REDPATH DEILMANN’s international expertise, technical services, project diversity and history.

At the same time, topics such as sustainability and occupational safety were given significantly more space, as both areas play a central role in day-to-day operations.

Navigation, information architecture and page structure have been rethought to make complex content accessible and to address different target groups in a targeted manner.

International strength with regional influence

Special emphasis was placed on the presentation of international projects. REDPATH DEILMANN realizes shaft sinking projects worldwide and under very different geological conditions.

Project overviews and case presentations make this diversity visible and demonstrate the company’s international strength. At the same time, it becomes clear how strongly these projects build on regional experience and local expertise.

Further development of the digital design system

The design system was also further developed as part of the website relaunch. Typography, imagery and layout principles were defined to reflect both the technical precision of the company and its international orientation.

Large-format project images show the scale of the construction projects, while graphic elements, icons and illustrations make technical content understandable and visually pick up on motifs from the mining industry.

The result is a website that clearly presents projects and makes REDPATH DEILMANN’s position as a specialist in global mining and shaft construction digitally visible.
